Obituary for Margaret Justina Such

Margaret Justina Such
September 26, 1941 - November 18, 2022

The children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of Margaret Justina Such of Calgary, Alberta, sadly announce the passing of a very special woman. Margaret went to be with her Saviour on November 18, 2022 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Whether we called her Mom, Grandma, or Great Grandma, she will be dearly missed. Those left to miss her include her children, Glennis Foster (Bruce), Grant Such (Connie), Darrell Such (Tannis), Christopher Such (Liz); grandchildren, Brendan, Brittanie, Kate, Brett, Bryton, Michaela, Courtney, Dylan, Chase, Sloan, and two great grandchildren, Peyton and Ava. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, George and Maria, and her brother, John.

Margaret was born September 26, 1941, in Yorkton Saskatchewan. She was an avid sports fan and won many javelin competitions. That competitive nature remained as she coached her own children in softball after a family move to Calgary, Alberta. Her family fondly remembers how much she loved doing puzzles, playing games, painting, sewing, crafting, baking and being a wonderful hostess. Christmas was a very special season for Margaret and no family celebration was complete without Mint Dazzler for dessert. Margaret worked for many years at First Alliance Church ensuring that the facilities were always clean and ready. In her later years, the senior’s community at South Calgary Community Church enjoyed fellowship with Margaret and she developed some very special friendships there. Margaret’s love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was evidenced in her many displays of pictures, the fact that she was present at every high school graduation, and her daily prayers for their salvation and safety.

A Celebration of Life will be held December 10, 2022 at 1:30pm at South Calgary Community Church (2900 Cedarbrae Drive Calgary, Alberta). In honour of a long-time wish of Margaret, please consider wearing light coloured clothing as she viewed her death as a glorious event in entering heaven.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Vision or Mission Aviation Fellowship - two charities close to her heart.
