Obituary for Teresa Ryan
With profound heartbreak we announce the passing of Teresa Ryan.
Born Margaret Teresa Ryan on January 30th, 1988 in Calgary, AB to Tony and Anna Ryan and passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 9th, 2022.
Teresa graduated from St. Francis High School in Calgary in 2005 and pursued her calling as a nurse. She was initially employed with the Victorian Order of Nurses, then Paramed, and finally at A.H.S. Teresa’s last chapter of nursing was working at Seniors’ North, where she was a dedicated geriatric nurse. We are assured that her compassionate nature, and love for people was evident for each of her senior patients. It is easy to imagine her sprite-like spirit and love brightening the days of each person she visited. We are proud of Teresa’s ability and willingness to care for humanity in the vulnerable states of both healing and passing.
Teresa's mother-heart was wildly loving and fiercely protective of her daughter Ximena, 13 yrs and her son, Angel, 9 yrs. Her loving partner, David Thiessen and daughters Nyah, 12 yrs and Sparrow, 11 yrs were blessed to have known Teresa, to share a home with her, and create a new family.
Teresa also leaves behind her loving family with parents, Tony and Anna Ryan; sister, Seana Ryan; her nieces and nephew, Trinity, Logan and Violet and brother, Luke Ryan. They will all miss her beautiful spirit and love her always. Teresa leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins in Newfoundland and Alberta, and friends from all over Canada. Teresa is predeceased by maternal grandparents, Henry and Theresa Doyle; and paternal grandparents, Leo Ryan and Margaret O'Brien from Newfoundland.
A Celebration of Teresa’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 284 Chaplelhow (606 – 38 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB). All family, friends and coworkers are welcome. We encourage you to share your memories of Teresa or submit if you wish to have them read by the eulogist.
