Obituary for Manjula Patel
PATEL, Manjula
February 15, 1938 – December 16, 2022
Manjula passed away peacefully in her sleep at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. She was married to the late Surendrakant Patel. She is survived by her loving family: daughters Minal Patel and Asha Makwana, grandsons Tyler and Ishaan Makwana, sons-in-law Shashank Makwana and Glen Wilson, and siblings Hansa Patel, Mahendra Patel, and Vinodini Amin. She will be remembered for her kind heart and generosity. She loved to sing and did so as often as she could; for a crowd or for herself, it didn’t matter. Manjula was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be best remembered for always wanting to feed everyone who set foot in her home and was famous for her lemon poppy seed cake and “raas malai” dessert. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Manjula, we know you are now in a happy place with Suren by your side. You have loved and were much loved in return.
