Lorna, a former resident of Hampton, N.B. was born in East Trinity, Newfoundland, September 21, 1923, and passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, in Calgary, AB at the age of 98. She was the daughter of the Rev. Ralph and Elizabeth Fowlow and wife of the late Kenneth Sterne.
Lorna is survived by her daughters, Susan ter Borg of Calgary, AB, Betsy (late Reg) McBride of Sarnia, ON and Barbara (David) Turner of Toronto, ON. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Jade (Tyler), Jesse, Jared (Lorien), Lindsay (Dorian) and Elizabeth (Edgar) and great grandchildren, Lily, Cohen, Hudson, Brielle. Besides her parents and husband, Lorna was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Beaupre; brothers, Norman and George Fowlow; nephew, Norman (Aline) Fowlow and her much loved grandson, Jeffrey ter Borg.
Lorna will be missed for her sense of humour, her love of laughter and family and her sense of adventure.
Donations may be made in memory of Lorna (Fowlow) Sterne to St. John’s Anglican Church in Lunenburg, NS, which was her father’s parish for many years and where she and Ken were married.
