Obituary

Smith, Lisa June

Lisa June smith (Yeakle) passed away suddenly at the age of 62 on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 after nearly a year of battling cancer. She was born in Midland, Michigan on August 8, 1957, to Joyce and Richard Yeakle. She married Russell Smith on April 7th of ‘79 and was mother of three, Jacquee Smith-Olsen, Kellee Smith-Synesael and Brennen Smith and grandmother to nine grandchildren.

Lisa loved the Lord and never hesitated to share Him with everyone she met. She was a prayer warrior, loved to memorize scripture, and lived her life in accordance to the Bible. She was a dedicated wife and mother, treasuring her children and embraced each moment with them. She especially loved her roll as “Grammy” and “Mama” spoiling her grandchildren with home-made cookies and chocolate cake. The joys in Lisa’s life were the relationships she had and showering her family with love.

She will be loved and dearly missed as she awaits her family in her eternal home.

My memories of Lisa are when she volunteered at Awana at Maranatha church. She was very personable and fun. Our daughter did a read-a-thon and she was very supportive. Thanks Lisa, see you in Heaven.

My best memories of Lisa were on the phone.I loved our conversations over the years, even though they surpassed my phone battery life, they meant the world to me. You were such a blessing. I am glad we have eternity together. Love in Christ, Shelley Hill.

Dear Russell,Jackie,Kellie and Brennan This is such a sad day as you mourn your wife and mother. We are so thankful that she knew the wonderful new home she was going to. We didn’t see you all very much but what I remember of Lisa was she knew Jesus and she knew how to pray. We are grateful for the early years and we will treasure our memories. Our prayers are with you today , tomorrow and the months to come. May God bless and keep you. Uncle Harold and Aunt Linda (Hugs)
