Obituary for Linda Jean Forster (Forster)

Linda Jean Forster
1949 - 2021

In loving memory, we announce the passing of Linda Jean Forster on Friday, March 12, 2021.

The eldest daughter of Doris and Art Forster, Linda was born in Calgary on December 8, 1949, and quickly whisked home to start their family life in Milo, Alberta.

The family later moved to Grand Prairie, and on to Beaverlodge, where her brother Gary was born in January 1952. They then relocated to Edmonton, where sister Terry Ann was born in March 1954.

Linda and her siblings enjoyed many great times growing up, spending time at the family cottage at Gull Lake, and visiting friends in Milo.

In 1963, they settled in Calgary, where Linda stayed for the remainder of her life. She married in 1969 and had three wonderful children – the loves of her life, Reece, Drew and Laurel. Linda worked in oil and gas accounting for most of her life. She was joined later in her life by a new love, Dwayne Swallow, and they created many warm memories in their travels together.

Linda has chosen cremation and will be mourned and remembered by her partner Dwayne, her sister Terry Ann Reeder; Linda’s son Reece, his wife Shannon and granddaughter Ayla; son Drew and his wife Dionne; daughter Laurel, her husband Steve and grandchildren Damon, Carys, Lila and Evelyn; nephew Lee, his wife Sharla, their children Taylor and Cameron and grandson Oliver; niece Jacqueline and husband Aaron; nephew Matthew and his daughter Zara; and nephew Trevor, his wife Julia and their daughter Simone. Linda was predeceased by her parents and her brother Gary.
