Carlson, Linda Rose
May 15, 1956 – August 1, 2020

Linda Carlson (nee Exner), beloved and cherished wife of Brad, mother and grandmother passed away in her home Saturday, August 1, 2020 with her family by her side. Linda was born in 1956 in Melville, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm south of Killaly, Saskatchewan close to the Qu’Appelle Valley. Linda loved her family immensely and she loved to spend time with them on any occasion.

With her beautiful infectious smile and big heart, you would be welcomed in her home with a meal, her baked goods, a good friendly chat, and a bed if you wanted or needed somewhere to stay. Linda and Brad loved to travel and they went on many trips over the years. She loved many trips to Disneyland with her family and loved her favourite ride, Dumbo. She also enjoyed camping with her husband and family.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years, Brad; children, Jared (Nicole) Carlson, and Joshua Carlson; grandchildren, Brayden, Danielle and Bradyn; her mother, Johanna Exner; brothers, Merv, Randy (Julie), and Kevin; sisters, Sharon (Keith) and Carol and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Christopher in 1978; her father, Edward in 1996 and her brother, Barry in 2008.

We have beautiful memories of Linda who was always there for us. She would lend an ear to anyone who wanted to share their stories and lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Her smile would light up a room and was always there for anyone who needed it. She was a calming force to the family and was the glue that held everyone together.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Alberta Cancer Foundation / Tom Baker Cancer Centre or a favourite charity of your choice.

Prayers & Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020, time TBD for those wishing to pay their respects at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 15 Templebow Rd NE, Calgary, AB.

It should be everyone's goal in life to emulate the way Linda lived hers, but she set the bar pretty high! Without a doubt, she was the most beautiful person, inside and out, we could ever know. If you have any difficulties in life, just ask yourself "what would Linda do" and everything will be ok. Our hearts break for Brad, Josh, Jared, Brayden, Nicole, Danielle, Bradyn and the rest of her extended family.
Love Sharleen and Ken
