Lily Wong, aged 72, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 21, 2019, surrounded by family.
She was born on July 9, 1947 in Singapore alongside one other sibling. Lily has been in a loving marriage with Stephen Chok for 49 years and is survived by her three sons, Martin (Carolynn), Eric (Tina) and Michael (Lianne) and her six grandchildren, Caelyn, Jayden, Rylan, Kaila, Jordan and Colton. She was devoted to her family and taking care of all the people around her.
Lily was a strong, selfless and proud woman, doing everything she could for the people she loved. Her devotion and affection made everyone feel cared for in her presence. With her positive attitude and genuine happiness, smiles and laughs were always shared among family and friends. With every child and grandchild, she was there to look over and raise them with all the love she could offer. From her oldest of six to the youngest, she was there to care for each grandchild daily. Her cooking could bring about a crowd, satisfying everybody, no matter the time or place. What she cooked was a large part of bringing together family as well as her way of caring for others. What she did to try and provide was more than anyone could ask for.
She will be missed, but never forgotten by the family and friends that had the opportunity to know the wonderful person she was.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Choice Memorial (105, 4715 – 13 Street NE, Calgary, AB). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 10:00 am, also at Choice Memorial.
