Obituary for Leonard Theodore Perdue

Perdue, Leonard Theodore

Leonard Theodore Perdue passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the age of 66.

Len is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie, his son's wife Kira and family, Dallas, Liam, Carys, James and Tierney; daughter, Rebecca Perdue (David) and family, Mickey, Jasper and Piper; brother, Lloyd; and his daughters that Debbie brought into his life, Sheena (Ivan) and family, Brodie, Sean and Jacob; and Cassie (Nichole) and son, Enzo. He was predeceased by his parents, Mick and Val Perdue, his son Jeremy Perdue, and his first wife Melanie Perdue.

After working construction for a short time, Len became an apprentice electrician, where his talent for precision and organization served to make him a valued tradesman. Len was proud of his work and always strived to do the best, above and beyond what was merely required by code or contract. Len always put in the effort to produce top quality systems.

Those skills of precision and organization, when applied to his hobby of woodcraft, produced some very intricate and complex projects. A functioning spinning wheel and a completely wooden tricycle, while a difficult challenge in a well-equipped woodshop, were just two of the projects created with little more than hand tools.

Len held dearest to him a great love for his family, his friends, fast machines and growing closer to his Heavenly Father.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Mountview Church of God (637 17 Ave NE, Calgary, AB). A Family Send-Off will be held later in the year.
