Leonard Malcolm Campbell
April 27, 1946-December 29, 2022

Len Campbell of Calgary passed away peacefully December 29th, 2022, surrounded by family at the age of 76 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Yvonne Campbell (Klause) of Calgary,
son Craig Campbell (Gaylene) and grand -daughters Makenna and Chloe of Lashburn, SK and his daughter Kristina Van Nest (Nevin) and grand- daughters Kaelyn, Siri and Brynlee of Calgary, AB
Len is also survived by his siblings, Keith Campbell, Ken Campbell (Carol), Judy Wright, Janet Tokarek and several nieces and nephews.

Len was predeceased by his father Malcolm Graham Campbell and his mother Joyce Fraser Campbell Potts of Lashburn, SK.

Len was born and raised on the family farm in Lashburn, SK and Len graduated from College of Agriculture, university of Saskatchewan in 1966. His first job was in the department of Forestry in Winnipeg MB, This is where he met the love of his life, Yvonne. They were married in 1969, and he was soon transferred to Ottawa, ON to work for the Environment Canada chemical control research institute were he travelled extensively throughout the country. Len’s passion for agriculture found drew him back to the family farm in 1976, where he and Yvonne lived and raised their two children for over 25 years. In 2000, Len joined his brother Keith in the oil and gas industry in Calgary, AB.

In 2008, after a winter vacation to Baja California, Mexico, Len and Yvonne found a place that felt like home for the winters. For the past 14 years, they have enjoyed spending several months of each year with friends and family in Los Barriles, BCS.

Len was known for his ability to start a conversation with anyone. Whether it was a stop for fuel, a plane ride or a walk in the neighbourhood, he was always making new friends and connections. He will be remembered for his great stories, wealth of knowledge and his willingness to help anyone, Len will be missed by all that had the opportunity to spend time with him.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Len both at the family farm (summer 2023) and in his winter home of Los Barriles. Date and times to be determined.
