Ladonna Marie Stefura
1980-2023
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Ladonna Marie Stefura, 42, on Monday, April 17, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta. She was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on April 30, 1980, the daughter of Brian and Joan (MacKenzie) MacInnis.
Besides her parents, Ladonna is survived by her sons, Owen Gregory and Kingston Avery Stefura of Calgary, AB; her common-law spouse, Howard Chiu; her stepchildren, Ethan, Jocelyn and Calista Chiu of Calgary, AB; her brother, Gregory MacInnis; and her nieces, Haven and Adriana MacInnis of New Brunswick. In addition, Ladonna’s loss is mourned by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends both near and far. Ladonna was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Joseph N and Lillian MacKenzie; and paternal grandparents, Alex and Rita MacInnis, all of Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Ladonna worked in the insurance industry for many years. She absolutely loved being a mother and was eternally proud of her two boys and all their accomplishments.
Ladonna was passionate about caring for others, be it spending time with her stepchildren or giving back to the community in any way she could. She enjoyed travelling, motorcycle adventures, spending time at the beaches in Nova Scotia, and many other places around the world. She loved shopping, pretty and sparkly things, going to the gym, and spending time with her dogs.
Ladonna will be greatly missed. Her infectious giggle will live in our hearts forever.
Cremation has taken place.
