Kurien Kanjirappallil Eapen passed away on Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at the age of 78 at Calgary, Canada. He was born and brought up in Kanjirappallil house, Thiruvalla. He acquired a degree in Bachelor of Agriculture and retired as Joint Director of Agriculture, Kerala, India.
He was a voracious reader and loved travelling. He was dear to all children,. He would be carrying chocolates and balloons in his pockets all the time. He was known for his loud voice. Children used to address him with different names like balloon appacha, chocolate appacha, loud uncle, kukuri appacha and sudanpappa. His name rings as happiness and laughter in everyone's heart. A person who was ever smiling, filled with energy and innovative ideas to engage with kids. He was father figure for many. He was deeply loved and would be dearly missed.
He is survived by wife, Leela Kurien (Nellattu Kandathil, Kerala, India); daughter, Anila Kurian; son-in-law, Cyriac James (Palapparambil, Trivandrum) and grandson, Joel Cyriac.
There will be a funeral service held at Choice Memorial - Rocky View (243256 Garden Road NE) on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 at 11:00am with visitation time prior at 10:00am.
