Obituary for Kenneth Edward Kanski
Kenneth Edward Kanski, age 72 years, passed away peacefully at Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary on Friday, December 16, 2022.
Ken was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and lived in Thunder Bay the majority of his life before moving to Calgary to be with his daughter and son-in-law.
Following his retirement from CN Rail and when his health allowed, he set out to enjoy all life had to offer. Travelling and exploring every golf course he could find but Palm Springs became a special place for him second only to Las Vegas. When not golfing, he could be found trying his luck at any nearby casino.
Ken is survived by his daughter Audra Kanski and her husband, Jose Torres, as well as his fur grand dog, Hank; his son, James Sainato; his brothers, Kevin Kanski and sister-in-law, Sandra Kanski, Eddie Kanski (and his son, Seth Kanski); niece and nephew, Lindsy Kanski, Keith Kanski and his wife, Allison. He was predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Edward and Violet Kanski, and his brother, Gary Kanski.
Arrangements entrusted to Choice Memorial Services, Calgary. A Memorial will be held in Winnipeg at a later date when Ken will be laid to rest with his Mom and Dad. As an expression of sympathy donations made in Ken’s memory to the LIBIN Cardiovascular Institute, Calgary, would be appreciated.
