Obituary for Keith Joseph Hebert

Keith Hebert
July 29, 1968 - February 1, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Keith Hebert on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 55 years.
Husband, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, Keith passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends after a long, painful battle with cancer.

Keith was very outgoing and adventurous and had a love for being outdoors. Camping, fishing, he enjoyed going skiing, ski-dooing, playing hockey, dancing, and trying to sing Karaoke to name a few. His passion has always been hockey and cheering on the Winnipeg Jets. Recently, he picked up a new love for his motorbike (Jet). Being on the road and riding with friends, meeting new friends along the way, or just going for a “rip” anytime. It didn’t matter where or where he would end up, it gave him a different kind of freedom, it filled his heart to ride.

Keith is survived by his wife of 28 years Sheila Hebert; siblings, Katie Hebert, Susan Nicholson, Peter Hebert, Christine Barnson (Carl) and John Hebert (Dawn); as well as many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins near and far. He was predeceased by his parents, Jean–Louis Hebert and Irene Hebert.

To family and friends, a heartfelt thank you for being there and being his moral support and a shoulder when needed and for all your help. I can’t thank you enough. “You all know who you are.”

Special thanks to all the nurses and staff on unit 47 at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their compassion, patience, and care. Special thanks to EMS for getting him home. Thank you to Dr. Gibson (M.A.I.D) for assisting with the steps to his next journey. A very special thank you to his Pharmacist Dean England, and his palliative care nurse Jacquie Burke for all your patience, compassion, and understanding. You both were a huge part of our lives and had a special place in his heart. Special thank you to Choice Memorial staff for taking such good care and assisting Keith in the final chapter of his life on earth.

Till we meet again
