Josefina Zavala
March 19th, 1956 - Sunday, April 25th, 2021
Josefina, or MAMA as everyone called her, was born on March 19, 1956 in Mexico City to Herlinda and Carlos. She was the first born of 14 children, 9 of which survived. Her brothers and sisters are Carlos, Alberto, Ubaldo, Oscar, Ismael, Carmela, Guadalupe and Virginia. She moved to Canada in 1977 and met her husband Carlos and were married for 42 years. A year later their first son José Carlos was born and they started their family life together, first in Red Deer and then soon after moving to Calgary in 1979. In 1996 Luis Manuel was born and gave Josefina and Carlos a brand new lease on life and was such a bonding event for the family. MAMA passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep the morning of Sunday, April 25th and will be deeply missed not only by her family but so many other countless people who loved her so much and all considered her a second mama. We will all love you so much for the rest of our lives Mama. Now you can dance with grandma and grandpa without anymore pain...
Josefina, o MAMA como la llamaban todos, nació el 19 de marzo de 1956 en la Ciudad de México. Sus padres fueron Carlos López Rivera y Herlinda Guadalupe Coronado Miranda. Fue la primogénita de 14 hijos, de los que viven Carlos, Alberto, Ubaldo, Oscar, Ismael, María del Carmen, Guadalupe Enedina y Virginia. Llego a Canadá en 1976 por una nueva oportunidad de vida y conoció a su futuro esposo Carlos Zavala Oliva y estuvieron casados durante 42 años. Un año después nació su primer hijo José Carlos y comenzaron su vida familiar juntos, primero en Red Deer y luego a poco tiempo después se mudaron a Calgary en 1979. En 1996 nació Luis Manuel y les dio a Josefina y Carlos una nueva oportunidad de vida y fue un evento de unión y felicidad para la familia. Josefina falleció el 25 de Abril, 2021 estando tranquilamente dormida y será profundamente extrañada no solo por su familia sino por tantas otras innumerables personas que la amaban tanto y que la consideraban una segunda mamá. Todos te amaremos tanto por el resto de nuestras vidas, madrecita linda. Ahora puedes bailar con Papá Carlos y Mamá Chonita sin más dolor. DIOS TE COBIJE SIEMPRE MADRECITA DE NUESTRAS ALMAS.
