Obituary for Jolan Iren Elisabet Kiss (Justus)
Jolan died embraced by loving arms on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Many thanks to Aker, Hawa, Hikmat, Jaklin, Jamie, Opal, Marsa, Martha and Susan, who allowed her to live in her own home. She gained many more daughters with their loving care.
Jolan trained in fine art / design, and worked 40 years in this capacity, retiring as exhibition designer for the Public Archives / National Library in Ottawa in 1995. Loved and mourned by her daughter, Zelma; son-in-law, Christopher McAviney; friends and family in Calgary, Ottawa, USA, and Europe.
Her beautiful nature, gentle kindness, generosity, infectious laugh and humour will be forever missed. A Memorial gathering may be held in Ottawa, at a later date with interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
Flowers would be appreciated at that time or alternatively donations in her memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada.
