John Shomachuk
July 20, 1932 – March 27, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of John Shomachuk announces his passing at 88 years of age on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
John married Fern Sutton in Victoria, BC in 1977 and they combined their families and lived there until moving to Calgary, AB, where they made their permanent home.
John worked in construction and built many homes in the Calgary area.
John will be remembered by his loving wife, Fern; his children, Pat and Elaine; and his stepchildren, Judy, Kendra, Ken, Doug and Bonnie as well as their spouses and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Harry Shomachuk and his sister Naddie Chessman.
John was predeceased by his parents, Conrad and Eva and by many brothers and sisters.
John lived at Spruce Lodge for five years and we wish to thank the staff and all the wonderful friends there for all their kindness to John.
John spent his last months at the George Boyack, where he passed peacefully, and we would like to thank the staff for all their wonderful care.
