Joan Rempel, beloved wife of the late John Rempel of Calgary AB passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the age of 76.
Joan was born in Calgary, to Joseph and Ruby Haden, September 19, 1944. Joan enjoyed a happy childhood. She was more a spectator rather than a participant when it came to sports ... but she enjoyed dancing. Joan, together with her family, enjoyed going boating to the Shuswap. She was very instrumental in organizing the Little People's Association. It was such a great part of her life. Her hobbies were crocheting, knitting, and she enjoyed playing games on the computer. Joan attended the University of Calgary, in the Department of Education. She was a Math teacher and loved the joy of seeing students acquiring the Math skills! Besides teaching math, she was also a Math tutor.
Joan is survived by her son, John (better known as JJ) and her step-daughter, Elaine (Rempel) Kalmbach. Joanie was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, John and brother Dave.
