How do you sum up a friendship of around 45 years in a few sentences? I met Joan when she and her son Wade moved to Calgary from Prince Albert in mid 70’s and we worked together in a couple hair salons. . I also am from Prince Albert , so we had a few things in common. Not only would you find her with make-up on and hair in place, but also never without that brilliant smile . Ours wasn’t the close daily phone call or weekly visit relationship, but when we got together, we could pick up where we left off.
She was the sister I never had. On my last visit to see her, I had her laughing about my life, and am so glad I got that bear hug from her. Joan will be missed, but I have so many memories to keep her close to me.
I’m so sorry for your loss Bob, Wade, Ashley, and Kaley
