August 16th, 1973 - Thursday, May 13th, 2021
It is with sadness that Jason’s family announces his passing on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Jason passed away at the young age of 47 in Blackfalds, Alberta where he had been living for 8 years.
Jason was born in Calgary, Alberta, on August 16, 1973 to Wes and Bev Pilatzke. Jason leaves behind his surviving dad Wes, his sister Leigh-Ann Barry, nephew Justin Barry and niece Morgan Barry and his brother Kyle Pilatzke. Many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends had special places in Jason’s heart. A special note goes out to Shauna Pilatzke (nee Collins), Ashley Jones and Ryker Jones for the many years they each spent with Jason on his journey through life. We know he loved them all truly and deeply.
Jason spent his life as a heavy duty mechanic, who loved cars and trucks and toys from a very young age. Between quads and dirt bikes, camping and enjoying quality time with good friends he will be deeply missed. Due to the many restrictions in the world today, no formal service will be held. We hope you all raise a toast to Jason in your own special way.
