Obituary for Jan "John" Boersma
BOERSMA, JAN (JOHN)
May 24, 1932 (Holland) - June 24, 2019 (Calgary, AB)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jan (John) Boersma at the age of 87 years. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Jan and Aaffien Boersma; wife An Boersma; and brother Rommie Boersma. John is survived by Jana, his wife of 14 years; his children, Jouktje Reynolds (Darcy), John Boersma (Vivian), Evelyn Boersma (Carlo), and Janette Hutt (Dave); his nine grandchildren Crystal (Brandon), Eddy (Alicia), Demi (Kody), Taya (Aaron), Travis, Teresa (Jason), Chris, Mike and Tamara (Brad); eleven great grandchildren; his sister Hendrikje ,and his brothers, Hendrik Jan (Kathleen), Juko (Mary), Leonardus (Mary); as well as numerous other family members and friends. John will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 am. A Celebration of John's Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion (755 40 St SE, Calgary AB T2A 5G3) on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
