James Ellis Smith, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Calgary, AB.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; his daughter, Janet (Kevin); two grandchildren, Shaelynn and Dylan; nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Ellis was predeceased by his father and mother, Louis and Winnifred Smith; two brothers, Gordon and Roger and one niece, Wendy.
Ellis loved the outdoors and spent many years enjoying bike riding, swimming and canoeing. He also enjoyed camping and spending quality time with his family. He had a great sense of humour and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
