James Gordon Murray
October 1, 1933 - March 14, 2020 (Age 86)
Jim was born in Grand Forks, B.C. He was predeceased by his father Gordon Murray, his mother Matilda, and his brother Bruce. He is survived by his daughters Debra (Dave) Stangrecki, Jo-Ann (Darcy) Hiebert, and his three grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Marjorie, brother Claire, and five nieces.
Jim was a geologist with Hudson’s Bay Oil & Gas, Placid Oil & Gas, and Hunt Oil. Jim spent many family summers in Penticton and Grand Forks. He enjoyed reading, playing crib and fishing. In his later years, Jim volunteered his time for family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Rye and nursing staff in the ER and Rapid Access Unit (6th floor) of the South Health Campus Hospital.
