James “Ross” Brown
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Ross Brown on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 in Calgary, AB. Ross was born on November 6th, 1954 in Edmonton, AB. He fought a brief and valiant battle with cancer and died peacefully with his family around him.
Ross is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ashworth Brown (Betty); his sister, Sharon Fitch (Leslie) from Kingston, ON; and their son, Sean from Toronto, ON; and also leaves behind loving family, Kim Irwin and her daughters, Vanessa Irwin and Avery Matson; Mark Ashworth (Theresa) and their daughters, Gillian and Bridget; Wes Zacharias and his children, Rowan and Abby Anna Zacharias. Ross will be sadly missed by the Bragg Creek community and area, former clients, friends and many acquaintances.
Known for his ready smile and calm demeanour he greeted all those he met by name, and he leaves a legacy of highest integrity and grit. Ross was well respected for his business acumen, his warm friendship and willingness to be of service and help to anyone in need. To know him was to respect and admire him.
Rest in Peace Ross Brown. Your work on Earth is done and your footprint of goodness will live on in our hearts for always.
A Celebration of Ross’ Life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Bragg Creek Community Centre (23 White Avenue, Bragg Creek, AB). Please come and help us celebrate a life well lived.
