Jacques Edmond Murat Sintime, age 81, passed away peacefully at Dr. Vernon Fanning Center in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, March 13th, 2022. He was surrounded by his loved ones and soothed by the sounds of his wife singing hymns during his final moments.
Born in Leogane, Haiti to Ermiland Saintiné and Famelie Sanon, he lost his parents at a young age. His siblings, Desiland, Ricia (deceased), Anne Marie Merveilleuse, and Emilie (deceased) remained close as they grew up on the Caribbean Island and eventually separated across North America. Those who were lucky enough to know Jacques during his time here can surely remember his soulful laugh, his philosophical mind, his strong ambition, and his endless devotion to his children. Although he leaves behind his five children and a devoted wife, he leaves them with memories that fill them with laughter, tears and joy.
Jacques’ legacy lives on in the hearts and souls of those who met him, his children, his wife, and his devotion to his faith and the Lord. We are not meant to stay forever, he said - but he will be here in our memories until the end of time.
