Irene Bergmann
August 12th, 1930 - May 13th, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Irene Bergmann on Monday, May 13th, 2019 at the age of 88. Irene was born in Nelson, BC and grew up in the house that her father built. She carried on living and working in the city of Nelson until moving to Williams Lake, Lloydminster, Saskatoon and then Calgary to provide grandmotherly care to her precious grandchildren. Irene was very active in her grandchildren's lives, loved going to the beach, and enjoyed gardening - especially her stargazer lilies. Whenever she would see a plane fly by, she would wonder where they were going and wished that she was on the flight. Irene loved the stars and would often point out the different constellations to her grandchildren. She made a wicked oatmeal cookie which to date has not been matched!
Irene will be forever loved and remembered by her son Kelly (Carrie); grandchildren Jakob, Kaleb and Mackenzie. She was predeceased by seven sisters and one brother.
Irene will be returning home to Nelson, BC where she will be laid to rest with her brother and parents.
