Ian MacNish Watson
August 6th, 1948 – January 25th, 2021
It is with sadness and much love we honour the passing of Ian MacNish Watson at the age of 73 in Calgary, Alberta. Ian is survived by his three children, their families and his five grandchildren.
Ian served in the Canadian Armed forces in his early years. He worked for the City of Calgary Transit and Handibus services. Ian knew every single bus route in the city.
Ian loved going to the Legion to fellowship, listening to music and dancing. Ian was known for his humour, story telling, his deep and long-lasting friendships, and his passion for every Scottish. Ian had a dream of exploring his Scottish roots in Scotland, he fulfilled his dream and had many amazing stories about his adventure.
Our heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at the Carewest Colonel Belcher, Rockyview Hospital & Foothills Hospital, and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their care and attention to Ian’s health.

May the sunshine warm upon your face.
May the rain fall softly upon your fields
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
