Obituary for Ian William Kinsman
Monday August 6, 1951 – Monday December 14, 2020
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Ian William Kinsman age 69 passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 14th, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ian was surrounded by his 2 sons Ryan & Scott Kinsman and his 2 daughter in laws, Jenn Kinsman & Lisa Horne.
Ian was born in Edmonton AB, but spent his entire adult life in Calgary AB working in the trucking industry. Ian loved to golf and be around family. He especially loved the holidays when he was around his entire family and he loved to spoil all his Grandchildren. All of his grandkids held a special place in his heart. Anyone that knew Ian, knew he always wanted to have a good time, he liked to joke around and laugh. Ian brought a lot of Joy to a lot of people and stories about him coaching hockey or baseball could be told for hours.
He is survived by his children Ryan (Jenn), Scott (Lisa), and his grandchildren Taylor, Payton, Charlotte, Ella, Tyson and Teigan. He is also survived by his siblings Jim (Debbie), Anne (Ian) and Helen. He was predeceased by his parents James and Eleanor and his brother John.
While we are sad that Ian, Dad, Papa is no longer with us we are relieved that he is now at peace and playing a round of golf with his brother John.
A celebration of Ian's life will take place at a later date. The family would also like to thank Helen Davies of Palliative Care for her amazing support of Ian over the past few months.
