Hongtao Zhan
May 28, 1968 - December 26, 2019
Hongtao Zhan passed away peacefully on December 26, 2019 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta after fighting cancer for 45 months. During this time, he had always remained positive and strong until his last moments. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife, Yuan; children, Kathy and Jordan, as well as many friends and colleagues.
Hongtao loved his family with a passion and he also enjoyed his job as an environmental engineer at Stantec. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going on road trips, and camping. He was also passionate about his hobbies such as gardening and baking. He enjoyed growing vegetables and fruits as well as some flowers. Hongtao was a member of the Calgary Rose Society, and for the last two years he won first place at the Calgary Annual Rose Show.
