Mathieu Nhan Thanh Hien
March 11 1948 – July 26, 2022
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Mathieu Nhan Thanh Hien, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the age of 74.
Born in Trang Bang, Tay Ninh, Vietnam, Hien proudly served with the VNAF as a helicopter pilot and later flight instructor, during VN war, forming deep friendships during this time. He cherished these bonds throughout his life, wherever he and his veteran buddies called home.
Hien was a citizen of the world, an entrepreneur and had a love of tennis. He spent his final years in Calgary, Canada in the close company of his immediate and extended family, including his son, Bi; daughter, Bao-Nghi; and grandson, Oscar.
Hien received a military salute to honour his years of service.
