Obituary for Helga Kuchler (Stubach)
Helga Kuchler
March 23, 1951 – May 9, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce that Helga Kuchler passed from this life to the next, on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Calgary, AB at the age of 70.
Helga was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, then immigrated to Canada at the age of five. Helga loved to travel, spending time in South America before completing her college education. Many years of Helga’s life were spent raising her three children and being active in the Church. Helga volunteered for countless activities including many years singing, conducting and playing the organ for Church choirs in many congregations. Helga enjoyed being outside where she loved to garden and go camping. She also enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family and friends.
Helga leaves to mourn, her children Tamara, Jordan and Jeremy, her mother Anne of Cranbrook, BC and her sister Michelle (Bill) of Seattle, WA. Also left to grieve are her nephews Ryan (Liz), Zak, William and Fred; her sister-in-law Maureen and brother-in-law Tom. She was predeceased by her husband Ron (2018), her father Herbert (1993), her brother Richard (2010) and her brother Lawrence (2017).
During her time here, she made lasting impressions with all those who knew her. We know that there are many who mourn her and will miss her kind heart, generosity and contagious laugh.
With her health failing rapidly it gives us great comfort to know that her body no longer suffers and that her soul has gone to be under our Lord’s care and keeping, where mortal concerns have no place.
The Funeral Service with be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 7:00 pm MST. Due to current restrictions only a few of the immediate family can attend in person. For those who care to attend virtually feel free to join us using the following link:
