Helene Sueyan Dang
1962-2021
Helene Sueyan Dang, beloved wife of Greg Dougall, went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on February 4, 2021 at the age of 58.
Helen was born and raised in Calgary, AB. A true Calgarian for life. She graduated from Sir. Winston Churchill High School and continued her education at SAIT and the University of Calgary, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1987. After graduation, she worked in Toronto at the Hospital for sick children and Toronto Western Hospital before returning to Calgary in 1990. While in Calgary, Helen worked at the Foothills Medical Center on unit 81 and 92. Helen worked at Health Link for the last 17 years of her career until her sudden passing. While at health link, she enjoyed helping and educating people with their health questions.
Helen was an amazing cook. Her Holiday Feasts, meals, and picnics at Forget-Me-Not Pond will be fondly remembered by her friends and family. Helen enjoyed canning jams, fruits, and salsas. There was always something homemade and delicious waiting to be enjoyed. When she wasn’t cooking, you could find her gardening in the Community Garden by her home, honing her photography skills, going for long walks at Glenbow Ranch, and spending time with her friends, family, and co-workers.
Helen was a caring, passionate, funny, and loveable person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband, Helen is survived by her mother, Nancy; brothers Norman (Felicia), and Willy; nieces, Talia and Sasha; and nephew, Justin. Helen was predeceased by her father Donald Choy Dang in 2012.
