Obituary

Henderson, Heather Ann
November 28, 1946 – November 9, 2019

Heather passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the age of 72, with her family by her side at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB

Heather was born in Prince George, BC. Throughout her years and while raising her sons she resided all over BC. She ended up choosing Pincher Creek, AB as her final home.

Her interests included family, fishing, baking, gardening, sewing and reading. She devoted much of her time and energy as a loving caregiver to various friends and family members. Her baked goods, especially her cinnamon buns, will be very missed by all.

Her enormous personality, wealth of selflessness, friendly smile and quick wit will be sorely missed by all her volunteer colleagues, as well as her family.

At her request, no Service will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Heather’s memory to the Pincher Creek Lions Club, 664 Main Street, Pincher Creek, AB, T0K 1W0.

I've been struggling to find the right words describe Heather and the only ones that I can settle on are absolutely amazing. She came into our lives and never stopped changing them for the better. She literally helped raise me and my little brother and sister, with whom she always had a special connection. I don't think anyone has ever been able to get through to Dominique in such impactful way as Heather. For his whole life Dominique has had the world wrapped around his little finger able to get people to do whatever he wanted them to...that is until he met Heather. She was spectacular with him able to be just as stubborn as him, if he was throwing a fit she'd just bust out the cards and start playing solitaire telling him he could choose to cooperate and that she had all the time in the world, that or threaten to sit on him which made Dom's eyes almost fall out of his head. There was one time Heather and I went to pick Dominique up from school and while we're waiting Dom walks up and sits down beside us with none of his stuff. While we're busy asking him where his stuff is the teacher comes up with all his stuff packed nicely away in his bag. Next Dom sticks his feet straight up in the air so the teacher could put his shoes on him and tie them for him. Well Heather let loose with a "Dominique Borgeaud! What are you doing? You know how to tie your shoes." Well Dominique gave Heather such a dirty look for ruining the good thing he had going on there. I have more stories about Heather than I could ever write down. She was such an important part of our family and we did everything together. She was there for every holiday, birthday, stupid mistake, and triumph. Through it all

Sorry about the rambling sentiment accidentally posted before I could finish. Part 2: Through it all no matter what Heather had nothing for but love for any of us. She will be missed but we will always remember her as the absolutely amazing woman that she was. Love you more than 10,000 sockeye Heather.

Heather was my aunt. Sadly I only got to meet her once over breakfast when her sister Susan , my birth mother, passed away. It was so nice to chat and compare similarities. I know how dearly she treasured family and how special her grandson Bryce was to her. Now they can be close once again as Bryce was tragically taken far too young. My thoughts are with the boys who I know loved her dearly. I only wish I had known her longer.
