Obituary for Gregory Allan Cieslak

With broken hearts and great sorrow, we announce the passing of Gregory (Greg) Allan William Cieslak on Saturday, December 31, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer in his 63rd year.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn; his children, William (Maci) and Stacey (Bryce); grandchildren, Oliver and Oakley; his sister, Cyndy; niece, Rachel as well as numerous cousins.

Greg was born March 29,1959 and was adopted into the loving family of Walter and Veronica Cieslak (both sadly deceased). He grew up in Calgary, in the community of Glendale, making many friends during his lifetime through school and his jobs with Safeway, Ford and Co-Op. Greg also ran his own business for a while (Pass da Pasta)

His family was everything to him. He absolutely loved to cook for all of his children's friends and family. He was smitten with his two grandchildren, Ollie and Oakley.

Some of his loves included the Stampeders Football team, CKUA radio, cooking, gardening and jokes. Greg had a heart of gold and always saw the best in everyone he met. He was loved by everyone who had a chance to meet him. He won several awards at Ford and was a car guy to the end.

Our loss is profound, and Greg will be missed as a loving husband, amazing father, brother, uncle, grandpa and loyal friend. He will forever be in our hearts and memories.

A Celebration of Greg’s Life will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Scouts & Lions Hall (8551 Bowness Road NW, Calgary, AB). Light refreshments will be provided. To view and share photos, condolences and memories of Greg, please visit www.choicememorial.com.
