Obituary

Gildo Gregory Santucci "Jeep"
February 27, 1927 - February 26, 2020

Simply "Jeep" to all that knew him, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening February 26th, 2020 at his residence in Covenant St. Teresa. A special thank you to all the staff and caregivers of St. Teresa who were a final part of his life.

Jeep is survived by his wife of 68 years Irene; sons Greg and Dean; daughter in-laws Gisele and Shelley; grandchildren, Scott, Chelsey, Julie, Natalie and grandson by marriage Michael, Leanna, and great grandchildren, Neveah, Benson, and Winter.

Jeep who was loved by All that knew him, had a smile for everyone that crossed his path and was an outgoing and social man throughout his life. Jeep always had time to share a story or a laugh and was held in high regard throughout his associations within the business community, both in the Automotive Industry, and in later years management of owned commercial and residential properties throughout Calgary.

Jeep's true passion was his music and was an active member in the Calgary Chapter of the Musician's Union for over 50 years. A drummer and singer patterned in the Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra era and style, he cherished all time spent entertaining 10's of thousands of people over the years, his accomplishments included, drumming and singing for the most popular Calgary big band orchestra of the 1940's/1950's/1960's era, a weekly performer as a singer in the 1950's on the Calgary Power Radio Show, local television specials as lead entertainer in the early 1960's for fledgling station CFCN, drummer for the Calgary Concert Band 1960's/1970's, multiple bit parts in movies filmed in and around Calgary in the 1970's, and various smaller venue bands throughout his active musical life into the 1990's.

A simple man by today's crazy standards, we are respecting his wishes for a quiet and private family cremation. There will be no formal service or open Celebration of Life. Instead as the family, we encourage all who wish to share condolences, a story, or post a picture of time spent with this wonderful man to do so here on www.choicememorial.com

Jeep will always be remembered in our hearts as a kind, soft spoken man who always greeted us with a smile and a story to tell. He was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of life, enjoyable to listen to and very wise for advice.
We will dearly miss him. Our sincere condolences to the family.
