Georgina Burrage, beloved wife of Gordon Burrage of New Perlican, NL, passed away at FootHills Hospital in Calgary, AB on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
Georgina will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three daughters, Shelly (Carson Green) of New Perlican, Newfoundland, Cathy (Chris Curry) of Calgary, Alberta and Jackie Burrage of St. John’s, Newfoundland; special daughter, Camila Veltri of São Paulo, Brazil; grandchildren, Trevor Piercey (Megan Seymour), Jonathon Piercey (Caitlynn Green), Heidi Peddle, Madison Curry and Joshua Green; great granddaughter, Lucilia Green; brothers, Bill Barnes (Turenna Squires) and Graham Bursey (Karen); sister, Ruth Power (Gerald); beloved brother-in-law, Alec Burrage; nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends who will miss her phone calls. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Burrage; parents, Lousie Barnes (stepfather, Baxter Barnes); father, George Ross and grandparents, Fred and Bertha Mills.
Georgina was a member of St. Augustine’s Anglican Church Women in New Perlican, Newfoundland. She had a wonderful sense of humor, always ready to have a chat and lend an ear, and ready to swat anyone who cracked an off-color joke. Georgina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and an amazing friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who was blessed enough to have known her.
