Obituary for Gboyega Joseph Adigun

Gboyega Joseph Adigun
May 18, 1965 – March 17, 2022

Gboyega Adigun, beloved husband of Funmilayo Adigun passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 56 years.

Besides his wife, Funmilayo, Gboyega will be missed and forever loved by his children, Faith Adigun, Marvelous Adigun, Cherish Adigun and David Adigun, all of Calgary, AB; sisters, Funmilayo, Taiye and Kehinde; nieces, Deborah and Omowunmi; nephew, Kunle; as well as many more nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins, too many to mention. Gboyega was predeceased by his father, mother, sister and brother.

Gboyega was born in the Ajasse, Kwara state of Nigeria. He graduated from Bida Polytechnic in Chemical Engineering in 1986. He then married and had four children. Gboyega immigrated to Canada with his family in 2009. He liked to read and play chess and was an active member of the RCCG Christ Embassy where he was an usher.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Choice Memorial (105, 4715 – 13 Street NE, Calgary, AB). A Service of Song will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at RCCG Christ Embassy (618 – 2 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB). For those who are not able to attend the Service of Songs on Thursday evening, you are also able to watch via LiveStream at either LiveStream via YouTube or LiveStream via DaCast.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 01, 2022 from 10:00 am -1:00 pm at RCCG Christ Embassy with Burial to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. For those who are not able to attend the Service on Friday morning, you are also able to watch via LiveStream at either LiveStream via YouTube or LiveStream via DaCast.
