Ernest Leslie Schneider
1933 – 2022
It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, husband, brother, uncle and grandfather, Ernest Leslie Schneider on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the age of 89 years young.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Kerin; daughters, Twila (Richard) and Kim (Ivan); stepchildren, Tracey (Dennis), Todd (Heidi), Cindy (Terry), Jamie, and Jody (Debra); grandchildren, Brady Irvine, Landyn, Colton (Kaitlyn), and Hannah Carr, Noah and Grace Sutherland, as well as Isabella and Lauren DeBernardo. He was predeceased by his daughter, Devine.
Throughout his life, Ernie owned and managed several successful businesses – a propane business, an eavestroughing business, a vacuum cleaner sales and repair shop and later he returned to his greatest passion – driving an 18-wheeler. He loved this so much so that he drove over 3 million miles and spent more than 48 years travelling throughout North America, hauling furniture and later freight. He was 86 when he finally retired from the road.
A Celebration of Ernie’s Life will be held at a future date for friends and family.
