It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eleanor Ann Macfarlane, in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the age of 96 years. Eleanor was born in Winnipeg on May 26, 1926 to William and Rita Banfield.
Eleanor leaves to mourn her daughters, Jill Sutherland, (Bruce), Cynthia Macfarlane (Wayne) and Ainslie Macfarlane (Terry); four grandchildren, Alexis Sutherland, George Sutherland, Bryce Dauphinais and Kyle Dauphinais; two great grandchildren, Liam and Isaac; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Clinton Macfarlane and her brother, John Banfield.
Eleanor had a very successful real estate career along with a great number of close friends in Winnipeg and Calgary. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Age Care Seton in Calgary for all of their care and kindness over the past number of years.
