Edith Annie Bandura of Calgary, AB passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Peter Lougheed Centre at the age of 89. Edith passed peacefully after a courageous two year battle with Multiple Myeloma and unrelated complications. Her children were able to be by her side in her final days.
Edith is survived by three sons, Richard, Randy and Garry; her daughter, Julia Hicks (Dave); two grandchildren, Lucas and Lilly Bandura; her sister, Louise Griffin of Calgary, AB; two brothers, Robert (Mae) Adams of Vancouver, BC and Dale (Cheryl) Adams of De Winton, AB and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith was predeceased by her husband, John Bandura in January 2000 and her parents, Lester and Edie Adams.
Edith worked at the Olds General Hospital as a Laundry Aide prior her retirement. Edith liked watching her favourite soaps and sports teams, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Stampeders and often shared her armchair coaching with the TV. Edith enjoyed going on Casino bus tours with her lifelong friend, Mildred Brooks. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
