After a brief illness, Doug passed leaving to cherish his memory his wife, Norma; his children, Gordon, Lorne (Gail), Glen and Wanda (Blair Hiebert); grandchildren, Jordi, Jennifer, Jared, Jaden, Ethan, Devin and Ella, and great granddaughter, Thea. He is survived by sister, Doreen and was predeceased by his parents; brother, Wallace (Carmen) and numerous other extended family members.
Doug met his future wife, Norma in Fort MacLeod where they started their family before settling in Calgary for the past 57 years. He was a proud man and worked hard over the years to provide for his family. He lived his life on his own terms, enjoying the simple pleasures and numerous pets, and left us in the same manner. At his request, the family will have a small Memorial at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Myles and the staff of unit 72 for their care and compassion.
