Donna Wing
February 20, 1952 - June 11, 2022
Donna Yvonne Wing of Okotoks, Alberta passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 11, 2022 after a courageous and brave battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS).
She was born to Cecil and Charlotte Mark in Vancouver, BC on February 20, 1952.
Donna married Robert (Bob) Wing in Sechelt BC, February 1971 and together they had two daughters, Christina (Wahlers) and Sharon (Olson).
Donna was a devoted wife, mother and beloved nana. If she wasn't spending time with her family or friends you could find her either in her sewing room creating special pieces for the people she loved or showing off her talented skills in the kitchen. She immediately lit up any room she entered and with her kind heart she was quick to build lifelong friendships. She loved travelling with her husband Bob and they were fortunate to have the opportunity to see many parts of the world together. She provided comfort and solace to many while asking for nothing in return. Her family was her focus and she showed her love and took care of them always.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Charlotte and her brother Cecil Jr.
Donna is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters Christina (Kelly) and Sharon (Chris); grandchildren, Andrew (Natalia), Emily and Sophie; sister, Diane (Earl) and their family; brother in law Ken (Marion) and their family; sister in law, Pat. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.
A Memorial/Funeral Service is planned for 1:00pm, August 6, 2022 at Living Faith Lutheran Church in Sechelt, British Columbia.
