Obituary for Donald Leonard Nagorski

Nagorski, Donald Leonard
October 14, 1934 - June 23, 2019

Donald "Don" Leonard Nagorski, passed away peacefully at home in Calgary at the age of 84. On his way to be with his parents, Joseph and Julia Nagorski, and brother Irvin Nagorski, Don is survived by his brother Gordon, children Cindy & Tim, grandchildren Kaley, Lincoln and Madison as well as many other friends and family.

Born in Clanwilliam, MB, Don went to school and worked on the family farm before serving his country in the Canadian Military. During the mid 60's Don headed west to Calgary for the Calgary Stampede and ended up staying and starting a family and career. Don contributed over 25 years as a machinist welder, working on some of the cities defining structures. Don was an avid pool player, winning several provincial titles, and an excellent hunter, providing his family with years worth of economically sustainable and locally processed food. A dedicated environmentalist, Don was keen on recycling and reusing whatever possible, teaching his loved ones the true meaning of "waste not, want not."

A celebration of Don's life will take place at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11:30 am, with visitation one hour prior to service.
