Don passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Chinook Hospice in Calgary. He was born in Medicine Hat to Lily Helen (Kulyk) Berg and Roy Berg. Don will be much missed and remembered by his loving wife of 42 years Judith Munro (Snyder); as well as his sons, Blaine (Janelle and grandchildren) and Ethan (Kayla and grandchildren). Don is also survived by his sister Bonnie Ann Younger (and two nieces).
Don spent most of his formative years in Ottawa and then Calgary. He graduated from Avionic Engineering at SAIT and worked in Northern Canada for some years. He worked varied careers throughout his lifetime, mostly as a professional driver.
As per the family‘s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held for his family in Calgary at a later date. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted by Alberta Cancer Foundation.
