Dennis Patrick Baker
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Patrick Baker on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at RockyView General hospital Calgary, Alberta.
Dennis is survived by his daughters, Denaye Baker, Lisa, and Nadine Fredriksen; son, Ross Baker; grandchildren, Kurtis, Celina, and Kevin JR; son-in-law, Kevin Carbrey; nephews, Brad (Cheryl) Letain, Wayne (Colleen) Baker, Rick Baker and Doug Cameron; niece, Lo'anne Cameron; sister-in-law, Ann Baker as well as many grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, William and Elizabeth Baker, his sisters Doreen Baker, Sheila Cameron, his brother Ron Baker and niece Ronalee.
Dennis came out west as a young man at 18 yrs old from his hometown of Keewatin, Ontario to play hockey. He worked on the Railroad in Vancouver but then moved and resided in Calgary where he became a welder.
Dennis spent his life doing the things he enjoyed, hunting, camping, ice skating, swimming or watching his grandchildren play baseball. But the biggest love for Dennis was being around horses, riding or going to the track to make that "Safe bet". Watching his old western movies or listening to records and tapes of his Country Western music!!
The family would like to send out a Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses on unit 93.
