It is with profound sadness that the family of Denise DeCoste (nee Perrin) announces her passing on Monday, November 11, 2019, surrounded by love at the Dulcina Hospice.
Denise was born on September 19, 1946 in Manchester, England, Great Britain to Alfred and Irene Perrin. Denise embarked on an adventure to build a better life in Canada in 1967, and settled in Banff, Alberta. She met her beloved Glenn there and was married on November 15, 1975.
After starting hairdressing in England, she brought her trade to Canada and opened several salons in Banff and Calgary. Denise enjoyed a variety of interests including gardening, golfing, fishing, spending time in Mexico, Coronation Street and camping with family. She brought an incredible sense of humor to all aspects of life, the first to crack a joke and a beer.
Denise is survived and remembered by her loving husband and best friend of 44 years, Glenn DeCoste; beloved daughters, Renee (Jer), Kelsey (Scott) and Kira; siblings, Nini (John) and Jon (Ella) and her grandchildren, Zoe, Mackenzy, Cobe, Noah, Quorra, Axton and Kade.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the St. Marguerite , Dulcina Hospice and the staff at Unit 74 at the Rockyview Hospital for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denise’s memory, directly to Alberta Hospice Palliative Care Association
A Memorial Service will be held at Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services (105 – 4715 13 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta) on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 10:00 am.
