Delores Diane Habrun
October 9, 1949 – August 5, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delores Diane Habrun at the age of 69. She left us peacefully after enduring many weeks in the ICU at Rockyview Hospital with her family at her side. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Delimir; her three sons, Michel, Claude and Paul; her five grandchildren, Mathew (Maddi), Thomas, Abbi, Valerie and Lucas as well as her partner, Michael Piduchny; her sisters, Simone Loriault Lawrence, Monique Estrin, Suzanne Cave and Jacqueline Leonard; her mother, Mathilda Leonard as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Delores was predeceased by her brother, Paul and father, Eugene Joseph "Tommy" Leonard.
She was born in New Westminster, BC but raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and spent the latter half of her life living here in Calgary. She worked at Tetra Tech for over 15 years and considered her co-workers there to be an extended part of her family.
She loved music, traveling, animals and her grandchildren. During the spring and summer if there was a festival to go to in or around the city, you were likely to see her there. Her travels brought her to Memphis, Florida, Seattle, Jamaica (her favorite), Barbados and Singapore. She loved to be around people and as such has touched the lives and hearts of so many. She was always so proud of all her grandchildren and loved them all so much.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Delores’ memory to Studio Bell, The Humane Society (or another no-kill animal shelter), The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
