Daryl Frederick Hergert
October 3, 1944 to January 6, 2021 Calgary, Alberta
Daryl Frederick Hergert passed away at Bethany Riverview peacefully on January 6th at the age of 76 after a short battle with COVID-19. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Daryl is survived by his wife of fifty- one years Marjorie, children Timothy (Hillary) and Trudy (Brett), and grandchildren Brock and Cole. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Hergert and sister Janice Ross.
He was devoted to his family, as well as any furry creatures that they may have adopted along the way. He was an avid golfer - a game he enjoyed with his father, and later, his wife and children. After retiring from a thirty plus year career as a professional engineer, he enjoyed playing golf six times a week at Highwood Golf and Country Club with his buddies Gary, Bob, and George. Favorite golfing holidays were spent in Hawaii and many other warm spots throughout the United States.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to Lewy Body Dementia through the Alzheimer Society of Calgary or directly to Bethany Riverview through the the Bethany Care Society - Riverview.
