Obituary for Daniel Earl Clarke (Ferr)

Daniel Earl Clarke
July 18, 1967 - June 1, 2021

It's with enormous heartache we announce the passing of Daniel Clarke on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the age of 53.

Dan will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Dianna; mom, Jackie; stepmother, Sue; daughter, Jessica; son, Jordan (Erin); Dianna’s son, Christopher; grandson, Andrew; siblings, Terry (Tammy), Rob, Tracey and Chris; niece, Brianna as well as many other extended family and of course, friends. He was predeceased by his father, Earl and stepfather, Wayne.

Although he'd been living with Parkinson's for the past decade, it didn't stop him from enjoying his favourite pastimes. Those included hiking (nothing rejuvenated him like a trek through the mountains), camping (or in the later years "Glamping"), music, drawing, & archery. Many wonderful & competitive hours were spent with family playing card & board games. Quite often he enjoyed watching science fiction, fantasy & "B" rated movies (his favourite was The Crow). Add in a package of Peanut M&M's, a bag of theatre popcorn & a tall glass of chocolate milk & he was a happy man.

He had a fun sense of humour & was always willing to help out, he fancied himself a handyman.

I (Dianna) will mourn the loss of my husband everyday. I thought I had the rest of my life, but I only had the rest of his. It wasn't always perfect, but it was ours. I will be eternally grateful for the love, friendship & numerous adventures we shared & I grieve the memories we didn't get the chance to make. He changed my life. I agree with him, we were soulmates. I will keep the memory of him alive, for love doesn't die, people do.

As we said in our wedding vows "While I breathe, I love you".

On behalf of Daniel, I'd like to thank you for being apart of his journey.

"When I fade off into the darkness that you don't understand, I hope you wait for me to step back into the light. But if you choose not to, I will thank you. Because if you never understood the dark side of me, you certainly aren't worthy of how beautiful my light is. My light is only for the ones who never left me alone in the dark."
"Stephanie Bennett-Henry"

In keeping with Daniel's love of nature, please consider planting a tree in his honour.
