Dale Butz
April 22nd, 1949 - Monday, September 30th, 2019
Dale Butz passed away peacefully on Sept 30, 2019 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by his loving wife Sharlene whom he missed dearly, as well as his father Dewey Butz and his brothers Terrance (Amy) and John (Neta). He is survived by his children Damon (Leah), Kody (Candice) and Dillon; grandchildren Melissa, Jack, Ashley, Joey and Jimmy; and beloved pet Pandee. Dale is also survived by his mother Jean Butz; sisters Julie (Billy), Janice (Martin) and Tina (Brian); brothers Kimmy (Tina), Robin (Pearl), and Richard (Debbie). He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
Dale loved woodworking, his dog, buying “treasures” at auctions, camping in his trailer, attending small town rodeos, and spending time with his wife and large family. We will remember him as a man of generosity, kindness, strong work ethic, and few but treasured words.
A special thanks to the staff at the South Calgary and Rockyview Hospitals for their care and compassion. A Memorial Service will take place at the Queensland Diamond Cove Community Center (649 Queensland Drive SE, Calgary AB) on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
